Littoral Rainforests of New South Wales

The Littoral Rainforests of New South Wales is a group of fragmented and endangered ecological communities found by the coast in eastern Australia. Much of this seaside form has been destroyed by mining, tourist development or housing. Luckily at Forrest we have around 10 ha of littoral rainforest that has been preserved and one of the few remaining areas. You can read and learn more about littoral rainforest and what you might find and experience at NSW Office of Environment and Heritage. Forrest is also protected through our partnership with NSW Parks and Wildlife and 97% of the 22 ha on the property is covered by a preservation agreement. You can download an informative data sheet from NSW Office of Environment and Heritage in PDF format.
